Welcome to FinNuvo, "Banking, In Your Language" — a multilingual financial literacy platform connecting individuals, students, and financial institution staff. By accessing or using our website or mobile app ("Platform"), you agree to these Terms and Conditions ("Terms").
1. Who Can Use FinNuvo
FinNuvo is used by individual community members seeking banking guidance, students and teachers through school partnerships, and staff at partnered financial institutions. Each account type has access to different features described in your account's role.
2. Not Financial or Legal Advice
Information provided through FinNuvo, including guidance from bankers, financial literacy content, and platform-generated summaries, is educational and informational only. It is not financial, legal, immigration, or tax advice.
3. Banker Connections
Bankers available through FinNuvo are staff at independent, partnered financial institutions. FinNuvo facilitates the connection and appointment scheduling but is not a party to any account you open or financial relationship you form with a partner institution.
4. Account Accuracy
You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep your language, location, and contact information current.
5. School and Bank Partnerships
Additional terms apply if you're using FinNuvo through a school partnership or as staff at a partner financial institution — see the Student & School Data Addendum and Financial Institution Partner Addendum below.
6. Payments
Bank branch and school subscriptions are billed on the schedule shown at signup, processed through Stripe.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FinNuvo is not liable for decisions made based on educational content or banker guidance provided through the Platform.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold FinNuvo and Tailor Made Lofts LLC harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Platform or violation of these Terms.
9. Modification of Terms
FinNuvo may modify these Terms at any time.
Student & School Data Addendum
Applies through school partnerships
A.1 When your school partners with FinNuvo, FinNuvo acts as a school-official service provider for the limited purpose of providing the financial literacy curriculum, quiz/certificate tracking, and related classroom features. FinNuvo does not use student data for advertising and does not sell student data.
A.2 Data collected: name, grade/class assignment, quiz results, certificate completion, and (for students opting into banker matching) preferred language and general location.
A.3 Parents and eligible students (per FERPA, a student who has reached 18 or is attending a postsecondary institution) may request access to, correction of, or deletion of student data collected through FinNuvo, through their school or directly through FinNuvo.
A.4 Student data is not shared with partner banks or any other third party without separate, explicit consent — banker- matching is opt-in and separate from classroom curriculum data.
A.5 Parents/guardians of students under 18 must provide consent through the school's enrollment/consent process, or through FinNuvo's own guardian-confirmation flow, before a student account is fully activated. This mechanism is an interim measure pending legal review of whether it meets COPPA's "verifiable parental consent" standard for any student under 13 — it should not be described as fully COPPA-compliant until that review is complete.
Financial Institution Partner Addendum
Applies to bank staff and administrators
B.1 FinNuvo provides participating financial institutions with aggregated and individual-level outreach data (appointments booked, languages served, general geography served) to support the institution's own community reinvestment and outreach documentation. FinNuvo does not make regulatory filings on a bank's behalf and does not represent this data as a substitute for the bank's own compliance review.
B.2 Data collected about bank staff: name, branch affiliation, role, languages spoken, and appointment/availability data.
B.3 FinNuvo does not sell bank partner data or community-member data collected through bank interactions to third parties.
